Time
to admit we're not alone
Dear
Editor:
This
summer marks 50 years of UFO sightings. It all began on
June 24, 1947, when a pilot by the name of Kenneth Arnold
spotted nine crescent-shaped objects while flying near
Mount Rainier in Washington State. Since then, there have
been more than 200,000 reported sightings worldwide.
June
1997 also marks 50 years of government UFO cover-ups which
began with the much-celebrated case of the Roswell Incident.
The
U.S. government is accused of concealing theh remains
of a flying saucer (possibly two) that crashed near Roswell,
N.M., in 1947. Several alien bodies are also known to
have been retrieved along with the crash debris. The government
still claims that the debris was that of a super secret
test balloon.
And
finally, 1997 marks the 30th anniversary of the 1967 UFO
wave which hit the Sudbury area. Numerous sightings of
UFOs were reported to the Falconbridge Radar Base. Documents
I have in my possession attest to the reality of the happenings.
UFOs
have been around for 50 years or more. Isn't it time for
the truth to finally be revealed to the people of this
world? For those of us who have seen real UFOs, there
is no doubt that this is the most profound discovery of
the millennium: the fact that we are not alone in the
universe.
