Beverly
J. Trout, an Iowa native, has for the past twenty years,
focused on investigations into UFO sightings, abductions,
anomalous crop formations, and landing traces. After joining
MUFON
in 1991, she has served as a Field Investigator, State
Section Director and was appointed State Director for
Iowa in 1995. Since retiring, Mrs. Trout has been a part
time dance instructor. She has adult-age children.
Although
her activities in Iowa include public speaking before
community, school and private groups on the general subject
of UFOs, she has in the past refrained from revealing
her own abduction encounters to audiences in her home
state. Only during the last twelve years, has she begun
to speak about her experiences to out-of-state audiences.
Twice a year, Beverly teaches a UFO
Enigma class for the Des
Moines School District Adult Education program.
Various
Iowa media have shown an interest in the UFO subject and
Beverly's no-nonsense approach has so far resulted in
responsible UFO reporting. She has been interviewed and
featured twice on Iowa Public Television's Living
in Iowa, when the show highlighted the enigma
of crop formations in Iowa. In addition to TV and radio
interviews, her work with MUFON
has been featured in many Iowa newspapers.
Articles
written by Beverly J. Trout on the UFO subject have appeared
in the MUFON
UFO Journal,
Ohio UFO Notebook and
Heartland UFO Journal.
Even though this will be her first speaking engagement
at a MUFON International UFO
Symposium, she has previously been a speaker
at the Ozark UFO Conference.
