Clifford E. Stone, SFC (Sergeant First Class), U.S. Army (ret.), was born January 2, 1949, in Portsmouth, Ohio. After a long career in the U.S. Army, he is now retired and employed by a major security service company. Clifford has been interested in UFOs since the age of eight when he had his first UFO sighting in the summer of 1957.

Clifford Stone is unique among those experiencing and investigating UFO and ET phenomenon. He spent 22 years in the U.S. Army as part of an extremely elite and secret group that was rapidly dispatched to crash sites in order to recover UFO or ET craft, bodies, and artifacts. Since his retirement from the Army, he has devoted his time to a diligent Freedom of Information Act search of government archives. He maintains that we have knowledge that intelligent life is visiting this planet in craft capable of traveling distances of many light years very quickly; effectively bypassing acceptably known physics. Further, he stresses that our recovery of these ET craft and artifacts have allowed our government to make staggering scientific gains of great potential benefit to the world. He maintains, as do many others, that this information is held in deeply secret programs beyond Constitutional controls and safeguards, and that despite the end of the cold war, those controlling these 'black projects' have continued to keep these important discoveries to themselves and for motives known only to them. Sgt. Stone is coming forward with his story to encourage citizens and our elected officials open investigations and end this Constitutional bypass by a powerful and covert organization operating under our noses and in our skies.

Stone maintains that this secrecy is unconstitutional and beyond control and knowledge of our elected officials. Thereby, this represents a government hidden within our society with tremendous assets, funding, and knowledge. This illegal government is operating without oversight, control, and the consent of the Executive, or Legislative branches.

Further, he feels this secrecy has split large parts of the citizenry into those that have seen UFO or ET craft/ beings and those that place these observers in a category as something less than competent. Much of the malaise and mistrust of government can be attributed to a remarkable majority of its citizenry seeing or believing in these objects, while the government and its officials and representatives deny or lack the courage to disclose what is now obvious. Also, the considerable scientific skills and assets of the world are, for the most part, diverted by this bias from working on projects generations ahead of current understanding. This continues to allow important discoveries and advances within the control of the few.

Clifford Stone claims that he led a double life from the late 60's through his retirement in 1990. While officially assigned to an "NBC" Team (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical retrieval and abatement detail), he asserts that he also served on Top Secret UFO crash retrieval missions where he had physical contact with downed ET craft and interactions with captured non-human life forms. The official NBC Team assignment allegedly served as a cover for those highly secretive and compartmentalized operations. Over a period of nearly 40 years, Stone has amassed one of the largest private collections of authentic government documents clearly establishing the hard reality of the UFO phenomenon.

He believes the U.S. Government has chosen to classify information on UFOs and keep this information from the public for unknown reasons. For the past 46 years, he has actively engaged several intelligence agencies within the U.S. Government for the release of this information, making him a pioneer in this field. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) was enacted by Congress in 1976.

Presently, he is attempting to obtain the release of all information related to the government's involvement in any UFO recoveries that might be in the classified files of Operation Blue Fly through a project of his own, known as Operation Blue Fly Research Project. He continues to correspond with members of Congress in an attempt to force the release of classified UFO files to members of Congress and the public in a never-ending search for the truth - whatever that truth might be.

Mr. Stone is a former State Section Director for MUFON in the Roswell area. He is Director of Research for the recently established "Outa Limits UFO Enigma Museum" in Roswell, New Mexico.

Dr. Michael E. Salla conducted an exclusive interview with Sgt. Stone on July 20, 2005. He described how his specialized training was done in a way that wasn’t recorded in his military record; how he would be secretly summoned to his classified assignments without his regular army commander knowing; and the actual duties he performed when secret teams were tasked with the retrieval of extraterrestrial vehicles and recovery of extraterrestrial biological entities, both dead and alive.
