Rima
E. Laibow, M.D. is a child and
adult psychiatrist in private practice in New
York State. She became interested in the nature and impact
of close, and very close, encounters in 1988 when she
noted that people who described UFO abduction-type encounters
often showed Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
although, according to current psychiatric thinking, this
is not possible unless there has been an event-level ("real")
trauma. Her work in this area led her to coin the term
"Experienced Anomalous
Trauma" or EAT,
now widely used to describe this condition both in the
UFO context and in others as well.
Realizing
that other clinicians were hearing the same sort of material,
and seeing the need for an interdisciplinary dialogue
between clinicians, researchers and investigators, she
created and ran the First Conference
on the Treatment and Research of Experienced Anomalous
Trauma (TREAT I)
in May, 1989 and TREAT II
in February, 1990. These gatherings of highly qualified
professionals and others have significantly advanced the
quality of resources research and information available
in this field. In the interests of legitimizing this area
of concern for professionals, TREAT
II not only carried Continuing Education Units
for attendees, but physicians attending were able to qualify
for Category I Continuing Medical
Education Credits, a first in the history of
professional relations with the area of UFOs. Proceedings
of both will be available. Realizing that EAT
is a world-wide phenomenon, she initiated and carried
out a series of meetings in Europe with professionals
(EuroTREAT) and is
continuing this outreach into professional communities
both inside and outside of North America.
Dr.
Laibow is the author of numerous articles and chapters
on EAT, including,
along with Dr. Shaffia Laue,
the chapter on Post
Abduction Syndrome which will appear
in the forthcoming edition of The
International Handbook of Traumatic Stress Syndromes,
a standard reference work which will be available in medical
and mental health libraries around the world.
Currently
the Medical Director of the Natural
Solutions Foundation, Dr. Rima Laibow is passionate
about the rights of every American to choose, free from
government and corporate interference, their personal
path of health. She believes in using nutrients and other
natural options to find, define, and treat health problems.
Dr. Laibow has practiced drug-free, natural medicine for
35 years. She graduated from
Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1970 and
has since made it her goal to keep natural,
non-toxic health options available for all Americans.
From 1995 to 2005, Dr. Laibow has kept an especially close
eye on the Codex Alimentarius, which she has come to realize
poses a very real threat to our freedom to medicate. In
2005, she, along with her husband, Major
General Albert Stubblebine, closed her
thriving medical practice and founded Natural
Solutions Foundation, so they could devote
all their time to the attacks on our health and health
freedoms.
Dr.
Laibow is the Founding and past
President of the NeuroTherapy
Certification Board, which she helped establish,
in order to strengthen and develop the field of NeuroBioFeedback
and bring it into wide-spread use as a powerful, non-toxic
tool for modern medicine.
Because
of Dr. Laibows awareness of the powerful natural,
non-toxic options available to treat the underlying cause
of disease she is focused on maintaining these choices
for all Americans. Based on her understanding of the impact
of poor nutrition and chemical/pesticide toxicity on the
declining health of America, Dr. Laibow is determined
to help Americans maintain the choices that allow them
to protect themselves from disease and toxic harm.
