Ed
was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1946. He is married to
Francis and they have two children. Ed studied
Architecture for two years while attending Jacksonville
University (Florida). He received
his State of Florida contractor's License and is registered
with the Florida Department of Professional Regulation.
Mr.
Walters has been recognized annually
for "Excellence
in Energy Efficient Construction"
and was presented the 1989 AURORA MERIT AWARD by the Southeast
Builders Conference for the Most Energy Efficient Construction.
He is a well-known community leader, having served on
the following committees: Gulf
Breeze Silver Celebration Committee, Project
Graduation Committee, Chairman
of the Gulf Breeze Christmas Parade and Member
of the City Planning Board. Ed Walters (and
associates) donated the sales proceeds from three houses
to community service. Ed is recognized as a
youth activities leader, supporting YMCA dances, Band
Booster Clubs and Chamber of Commerce Treasure Hunts.
Ed
and Frances Walters co-authored the book The
Gulf Breeze Sightings: The Most Astounding Multiple Sightings
of UFOs in U.S. History; William Morrow and
Company, New York, NY (1990). After his family endured
a very traumatic six months of
UFO experiences that disrupted their lives,
they have taken an active role in the search to understand
the UFO phenomenon.
