Illobrand von Ludwiger, born in Settin, Germany in 1937,
was appointed Director for the Mutual
UFO Network - Central European Section
(MUFON-CES)
(the German-speaking nations of Europe) on June 3, 1974.
MUFON-CES
is an elite and select group of engineers, scientists,
academicians and professionals, who have been conducting
their own MUFON
UFO symposia in Europe
since 1975, and have published their proceedings in Deutsch.
Illobrand
received his degree as an astrophysicist
from the University of Erlangen in 1964 and completed
his doctorate thesis from the University of Gottingen
on the subject "A new covariant sealer - tensor theory
of gravitation with the tensor of curvature by Lyra".
He is employed as a system analyst by Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm
Corp. in Munich-Ottobrunn. While on a business trip to
the U.S.A., he visited the former MUFON
headquarters in Seguin, TX.
Herr
von Ludwiger published a paper in the MUFON
1978 UFO Symposium Proceedings titled "Unidentified
Flying Objects and Future Spaceflight Propulsions".
A limited edition of his study of the theoretical work
of the famous German physicist, Dr. Burkhard Heim, was
published by MUFON
titled "Unified Quantum
Theory of Matter and Gravitation". He
is also a member of th German society Wissenschaftliche
Gesellschaft zur Forderung der Parapsychologie (GWFP)
in Freiburg (Scientific Society for Advancement of Parapsychology).
When
someone in the field of Ufology receives a prestigious
award for their organizational and publication accomplishments,
it is a rare honor indeed. The
Dr. Hedri Foundation for Exopsychology and Epipsychology
Zurich bestowed the Award
for Exopsychology 1990 with 20,000 Swiss francs (about
13,000 U.S. dollars)
to Dipl. Phys. Illobrand von Ludwiger in recognition for
his long-standing scientific exploration of the UFO phenomenon
and for his publication of the deserving and elaborate
ten volumes (symposium
proceedings)
of MUFON-CES.
This award was presented on February 16, 1990 in connection
with the GV of the Swiss Association of Parapsychology
Bern/Biel at the University of Bern. (Obviously, everyone
in MUFON
worldwide congratulated Illobrand for this earned recognition.)
