John
Greenewald, Jr. was born in Tarzana, California, on April
17, 1981. He graduated from grade school at First Lutheran,
Northridge, California, and then graduated from high school
at Alemany High School.
John's
fascination with UFOs began at a very young age, with
the love for comic books. "I have never seen a
UFO, and have never had any type of experience",
says John, leaving him with a raging curiosity.
John
has
been programming websites and using computers since around
1992,
when he was only eleven years old. He is a
research/activist who began researching government conspiracies
at the age of 15 and wrote his first book Beyond
UFO Secrecy at 20. John has been programming
a website which has not only caught the eye of the UFO
community, but has caught the eye of international television
audiences. His first website is named The
Black Vault.
Armed
with the Freedom of Information
Act, John slams the government with requests
for information, however, many of them do not want to
answer. Over the past sixteen years, he has done hundreds
and hundreds, if not thousands of Freedom
of Information Act requests to every corner
of the government. The Central
Intelligence Agency, National Security
Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, and countless offices
in the Pentagon, all have been John's targets.
The
Black Vault is one of the
largest online communities of its kind in the world with
over 149,000 government documents, over 10,000 archived
news articles, and over 14,000 photographs of military
aircraft and UFOs. The
Black Vault has been referenced as one
of the largest technological achievements on the internet.
John
now works full time at home, on his websites, and developing
his online business. Past employments include running
an entire internet division, and coordinating and building
extremely high traffic websites. John is a regular columnist
for the publication UFO Magazine
with his column titled "The
Black Vault".
His
website has won over 60 awards.
