In
the late 1950s, Michael joined both APRO
(Aerial
Phenomena Research Organization) and NICAP
(National
Investigations Committee On Aerial Phenomena),
the two premier UFO organizations of the day. Later, he
joined CUFOS,
and then MUFON,
where he served briefly as Provincial Director for the
Province of British Columbia. He had also served as National
Director for Canada and a member of the Board of Directors.
Mr.
Strainic has a background in
Linguistics and Languages,
Literature,
Writing,
Journalism,

a restaurateur, science-fiction writer, business consultant,
translator, ghostwriter, restorer of antique automobiles,
professional musician, and breeder of purebred cats.
Michael
is currently employed as a writer and publisher, involved
in both technical writing and advertising.
