Michel M. Deschamps
Michel M. Deschamps is a former MUFON member and former Provincial Section Director for Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Since July 1974, he has had 27 separate UFO sightings, including two captured on video. He has appeared on numerous radio and television programs including MIDDAY Q, IN THE NORTH, MCTV TODAY (3 local stations), VOLT (TFO) and THE CAMILLA SCOTT SHOW (CTV), to name a few. He was also featured in the local press, which includes The Sudbury Star, The Northern Life, The LAMBDA (Laurentian University publication), The Cambrian Shield (Cambrian College publication) and The South Side Story. He has contributed valuable information to American researcher Jan Aldrich's Project 1947, which earned him an acknowledgment of his work in Jan's book, PROJECT 1947: A PRELIMINARY REPORT ON THE 1947 UFO SIGHTING WAVE.

He continues to inform the public about UFOs and Flying Saucers by lecturing on the subject and has written several Letters to the Editor about his and other people's eyewitness accounts. He also wrote a few articles which have appeared in The Canadian Ufologist, a MUFON Ontario's newsletter (now defunct). His expertise lies in researching Northern Ontario newspaper archives for UFO reports and UFO-related information. Apart from those retrieved from The Sudbury Star, both he and his colleague Todd Fraser have located hundreds of news clippings within the pages of The Sault Star, The Timmins Daily Press, The Kirkland Lake Northern Daily News and The North Bay Nugget.

Since 2007, he has worked on creating a website originally based on the research he did, using the newspaper archive at Laurentian University. NOUFORS (Northern Ontario UFO Research and Study) has expanded to include a wide range of UFOlogical information gathered from international sources - everything from Sightings made by Astronauts and Police officers to Physical Trace Evidence left behind by landed objects of unknown origin. He presents the hard facts to the best of his abilities, and encourages the reader to look at the material with an open mind, and perhaps learn something new and fascinating along the way.
