On
October 18, 2013, I found out that I had been mentioned
in a new book entitled SPOOKY SUDBURY which was recently
published by Dundurn Publishing, Toronto. Needless to
say, I went to COLES in the New Sudbury Center and purchased
my own copy. My deepest thanks go out to both authors,
Mark Leslie and Jenny Jelen for also mentioning my website,
NOUFORS (Northern Ontario UFO Research and Study).
On
page 131, Jenny writes:
"The
skeptics, however, are far out-numbered by the ufologists
(people who are so interested in the subject that they
have created books, websites, and groups dedicated to
the study and collection of reported cases).
One
such resource, championed by Michel Deschamps, called
the Northern Ontario UFO Research & Study (NOUFORS)
is dedicated to eyewitnesses, both past and present,
and contains a plethora of documented cases of UFO sightings.
In
an August 6, 1999, article in the Northern Life, Michel
Deschamps, a long-time UFO watcher, believes that Sudbury
is a veritable hotspot for otherworldly visitors.
'I
think they're keeping a steady eye on the mining activity
here.' Deschamps says that it is the consensus of Internet
watchers that alien interest in Sudbury is both long-standing
and based on our mining history. Perhaps there is something
in the high frequency of nickel deposits in our region
that is attracting these visitors."
Then,
on page 234, she wrote the following:
Northern
Ontario UFO Research & Study (NOUFORS)
From
the website:
"Since
2007, Michel M. Deschamps has worked on creating a website
originally based on the research performed using the
newspaper archive at Laurentian University. NOUFORS
has expanded to include a wide range of ufological information
gathered from international sources - everything from
Sightings made by Astronauts and Police officers to
Physical Trace Evidence left behind by landed objects
of unknown origin. Deschamps presents the hard facts
to the best of his abilities, and encourages the reader
to look at the material with an open mind, and perhaps
learn something new and fascinating, along the way.
Deschamps
continues to inform the public about UFOs and Flying
Saucers by lecturing on the subject and articles he
has written which have appeared in The Canadian Ufologist,
a Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Ontario newsletter. His
expertise lies in researching Northern Ontario newspaper
archives for UFO reports and UFO-related information.
Apart from those retrieved from the Sudbury Star, both
he and his colleague Todd Fraser have located hundreds
of news clippings within the pages of the Sault Star,
the Timmins Daily Press, the Kirkland Lake Northern
Daily News, and the North Bay Nugget.
Since
July 1974, Deschamps has had just under thirty separate
UFO sightings, including two captured on video and he
has appeared on numerous radio and television programs
including Midday Q, In The North, MCYV Today, Volt (TFO)
and The Camilla Scott Show (CTV).
Deschamps'
website contains an extensive list of articles, audio,
and video clips from his appearances and various eyewitness
testimony, is dedicated to all those eyewitnesses, past
and present, who dared to speak out but were never heard."

Wednesday, June 13, 2012, I was interviewed by Christine
Frances on a online show called Asked

minutes, making it the longest phone interview I've ever
done. To watch and listen to the interview, please click

My
own religious views or beliefs have been altered because of
my personal involvement with UFO research. And perhaps it
is time that I share with the readers all the changes that
my Faith has gone through since the very beginning of my quest
for the truth regarding Unidentified Flying Objects and Flying
Saucers. Click here

system.
I've
recently begun work on a page that contains UFO sightings
in the form of drawings that I collected from several UFO
books during my High School years. Simply go here
to view the information that I've accumulated over a long
period of time.
On
Wednesday, November 2, 2011, I did a presentation at Thorneloe
University for the third year in a row, and it
went very well. In my presentation, I included some new cases
and other UFO-related information. The students had execellent
questions for me and I tried to answer them as best as I could.
I'm looking forward to doing this again, next November.
In
early April 2011, I purchased an item off Ebay after receiving
an e-mail from a friend which contained a link to a Halloween
Shop in North Carolina.

On
November 4th, 2010, I was a guest lecturer at Thorneloe
University, speaking about UFOs and related matters
to a class of approximately 90 students. The course is entitled
"Dimensions of the Paranormal". This was my second
appearance in that classroom and I've been asked to come
again, next year.

Flash!
A biographical documentary entitled UFO MAN is being produced
by Matthew Fish, formerly of Music
and Film in Motion, which is based here in Sudbury.
The
film is an in-depth look at my life, focusing on all things
that have made me become the person I am today.
Although
it was hoped that the project was going to be completed
in time for Cinefest 2010, the film won't be ready for a
while yet. Additional shooting for the documentary may be
necessary for the completion of this project. Stay tuned!

Replica
Roswell I-Beam designed by the Marcel family - LIMITED
I-beam
replica and Jesse Marcel Jr.
On
Wednesday, February 10, 2010, I received an interesting
parcel in the mail. I recently purchased a replica of
the I-beam that Jesse Marcel Jr. remembers handling when
he was eleven years old, way back in 1947. In early July
of that year, his father, Jesse Marcel Sr., Intelligence
officer of the 509th Bomb Wing at the Roswell, New Mexico
air base, brought in some pieces of wreckage purported
to be the remnants of a crashed flying saucer found on
a ranch, seventy-five miles northwest of Roswell.
On
one side of the I-beam are purple-colored symbols representing
"something that means something", as Jesse Marcel
Sr. stated during a 1978 television interview.
On
Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009, I was a guest lecturer at Thorneloe
University in a class entitled "Dimensions
of the Paranormal". I gave a Powerpoint presentation
in front of 50 - 60 students which consisted of mostly young
women and six guys. It was a lot of fun and the feedback was
real good!
July
2009 is UFO month! Myself and Brent Holland, host of CKLU's
NIGHT FRIGHT will
interview four Canadian researchers in respect to the UFO
phenomenon: Don Ledger, Stanton T. Friedman, Chris Rutkowski
and Chris Reid.

Location at the former CFS Falconbridge Radar Base
After
I had witnessed a UFO sighting near there on October 9,
1990, I would do several treks up the hill and visit the
site of the old radar base.
The
section of the building that is right behind my head measured
exactly 40 feet by 40 feet...which is my estimate of the
size of the object I saw that evening, so many years ago.
Here
I am, in 1996, standing in front of the now non-existing
Canadian Forces Station Falconbridge Radar Base.
Todd
Fraser, my friend and research colleague, points at the
